Shivam Kumar brings all the latest cool ways to make and save extra money on this blog and his main motive is to educate everyone about the online jobs, Blogging, Affiliate marketing and other earning opportunities through this awesome blog. Let’s continue reading Shivam Kumar interview:
1. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
Thanks for having me on your prestigious blog, I am Shivam Kumar, a Passionate-blogger based in New Delhi- India, and have been blogging since December 2016.
I have started many blogs in the past, last year I started my dream blog Bemakemoney to help people in generating passive income & achieve financial freedom.
2. Describe how did you first get into blogging?
If I tell you the truth, I made my first blog “shivamzcreation.blogspot.com” on Blogger in 2014, where I was sharing graphic designing related stuff.
But at that point in time, I had not any idea about what actually blogging is, how to rank or monetize a blog. That’s the reason why I earned 0 rupees even after getting more than 10,000 visitors every single day. ( Yes at that time getting traffic was very easy)
In 2017 after Jio came, I started a YouTube channel and then after some time I got to know about blogging through a YouTube video.
Initially I got fascinated about blogging and I started doing research about blogging.
In 2017 I started my first tech blog that was a big flop due to lack of my blogging knowledge.
Between February 2017-October 2018, I started almost 10 websites, from which most of the website got flop whereas some of my affiliate websites went good and still generating good money.
In 2018, I started a new blog “Bemakemoney” (My dream blog) to help people in making money online through Blogging and other online money making opportunities.
One thing I would like to tell the beginners that don’t get fascinated or attracted toward new niche like me. Yes, that was one of the biggest mistakes. Stick to one niche move to another only if your first blog started getting decent traffic and making decent money.
3. Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
My top 3 strengths which help me a lot in blogging are:
- I am a good reader
- My passion toward the work i choose
- And most importantly my amazing and helping friends which i made in last 3 years who help me all the time whenever i need them.
4. What type of networking do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?
According to me networking with other bloggers in industry work like a charm.
It actually not only helps you in easily attracting links to your blog but it also helps you in taking your blog to the next level.
But I would like to say that if you are making network just for the sake of building links & bring traffic, then one day they will definitely understand your intention and you’ll actually get Zero to benefit from your networks. So, make a real and endless network in order to succeed in the blogging industry.
In the past 3 years, I met lots of professional bloggers and YouTubers, from which some turned out to be a very good friend of mine.
As well as after launching Bemakemoney, Last year I joined some amazing facebook group where I met some Insane Professional bloggers and experts. Sumit Sao, Anil Agrawal sir, Santanu Debnath, Santosh, Swadhin Agarwal, Ryan Biddulph, Manish Sharma, Navin Roy, Kulwant Nagi, Akshay Hallur, and many others are a very good friend of mine now, whom I met through Facebook groups.
So, I am very thankful to those groups which helps me a lot in growing my blog, after getting inspired by them I also started my own facebook group – Join here.
5. How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
Frankly speaking, I am very bad at managing time. As I am a student and a part-time blogger, it is very difficult to find enough time to blog peacefully.
I always give first priority to my study and do my blogging work in free time.
I also try to utilize most of my weekend time to improve my blog, I try to check my blog stats and reply to my blog comment on a daily basis.
6. What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
I would say SEO plays the biggest role in my blogging career to drive traffic to my blogs, because some of my affiliate website are completely getting organic traffic.
Yes i do agree that It takes a while to get going, but when it does – it can send you an incredible amount of traffic.
But i would also like to say that – never focus solely on a specific or single traffic generation source.
I always try to build a strong relationship with other fellow bloggers by helping them, commenting on their blog post and sharing their good articles.
That’s the reason why i am getting more than 38% of my total traffic just from Facebook, because my blogging buddies also share my work with others.
7. Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
There are lots of people who have always inspired me to persue blogging as a career. In 2017 i came to know about Harsh Agrawal (founder of shoutmeloud) I just really love the way he puts everything in his blog.
In 2018 i came to know about Brian dian, His blog is just amazing, you can’t believe that i have read almost all of his blog post more than 5 times, yes his content writing & presentation skill is more than amazing.
I also met Ankit singla, Anil Agarwal and Santanu debnath through facebook group and they are truly amazing bloggers, I really love their blogging knowledge and dedication toward blogging.
8. What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
As a student, the biggest challenge in my blogging journey is to give enough time to blogging.
Due to my study and personal stuffs, i am still not able to get enough time for blogging. These days i am trying my best to organize everything in a proper manner and save my time for blogging.
9. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
I think motivation is one of the most important factor which decides the level of success anybody will achieve in their life.
Talking about me, basically i don’t need any external motivation to get motivated all the time, because i love what i do and my love for blogging is something which helps me to keep the blog up and running.
Additionally when people comments on my blog or message me on facebook that my article helped them in someway,it definitely encourages me to help many more people and provide more awesome contents.
10. How much time do you spend blogging?
I don’t have any fixed time table or routine though. Apart from my study and personal works whenever i get time, i try to put that into my blog.
11. Would you encourage other people to make their blog?
Yes, I would love to encourage those people who have interest in blogging to start their blog.
But always remember that never ever start blogging if you want to get rich overnight. It takes time to generate passive income from a blog.
Most importantly Blogging becomes much easier when you are writing something that you actually love.
12. Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?
As I already mentioned there are many Bloggers who inspire me every single day. Here are a few of them.
- Brian Dian– Amazing writing and presentation skill
- Ankit Singla: Superb blogging knowledge and affiliate marketing strategies.
- Anil Agarwal: in-depth and helpful articles.
- Kulwant Nagi: super helpful articles related to Blogging, SEO and Affiliate Marketing.
- Harsh Agarwal: He always inspires me to write good content.
- Adam Connell:– I just love his writing style and content research.
13. Cool tips for a newbie?
From my experience what I have learned is focusing on content goes a long way.
By creating highly valuable unique, in-depth and interesting content you’ll really get maximum exposure.
Once you have some interesting content on your blog, leverage social media platform like Facebook & Quora to get first few hundred visitors and most importantly try to convert those new visitors into regular readers by capturing their email addresses.
Another most important thing every newbie should know that it’s vitally important to be patient for success. Blogging is not a rich quick scheme, you need to work hard for even a year to make your first $100.
So, that is all. Thanks, Shivam Kumar for taking your time from the busy schedule for the interview. More interviews with emerging blogger are on way. Follow Us On Facebook, Twitter, & Join Our Facebook Group – DM World & keep in touch with Blogging Burp Interviews.
